Chapter 8: Software on the Internet

Once you learn how to download software from the Internet, you may never visit a software retail outlet again. Excellent software can be obtained (without stealing) for free, and other software is available for a free evaluation--you can give it a test drive on your own computer before you buy. Then if you still want to invest in shrink-wrapped software, you can use search engines to shop around for the best prices. Chapter 8 spells out everything you need to know to find, download, and install software from the Internet.
