Chapter 9: Power Tools for the Internet

One of the big differences between an Internet newcomer and an experienced old hand is the software they use. A plain-vanilla Web browser is fine for a beginner, but anyone who spends a lot of time on the Web would probably benefit from a customized version of that same browser. Chapter 9 introduces Web browser plug-ins and add-ons, Web accelerators, download managers, password managers, alternative Web browsers, and firewalls.
