1. Approximate each expression to the nearest hundredth.

2. Write each number using scientific notation.

  2. -1237.4
  3. 0.00198

3. Find the distance between the points (-3, 1) and (3, -5).

4. The average depths in feet of the four oceans are 13,215, 12,881, 13,002, and 3953. Calculate the mean, median, and range of these depths. Interpret your results.

5. Make a scatterplot and a line graph with the points (-5, -4), (-1, 2), (2, -2), and (3, 6). State the quadrant in which each point lies.
