    U.S. Energy Information Administration. This is an excellent site on all aspects of energy; contains information on depletable and renewable energy sources as well as "transition fuels."

  2. http://www.energy.gov/
    U.S. Department of Energy. Contains organizational chart, news and information (speeches, press releases), science education, people and places (field and operations offices, energy laboratories), etc.

  3. http://www.eere.energy.gov/
    Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Network (EREN). Contains information on energy efficiency including new technologies, renewable energy, access to 600 links and 80,000 documents; also has a fuel economy section where you can compare specific car models.

  4. http://www.iea.org/
    International Energy Agency. A wealth of information (publications and statistics) on the international energy situation and the links between energy use and climate change.

  5. http://www.aceee.org/index.htm
    Homepage of the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy. Contains reports showing the possibilities for energy efficiency and the economic impacts of using energy more efficiently.

  6. http://www.hubbertpeak.com/
    This Web site provides data, analysis, predictions and recommendations regarding Hubbert's prediction of a peak in the rate of global oil extraction.

  7. http://www.energystar.gov/
    The EPA's Energy Star program's Web site contains guidelines for improving the energy efficiency of homes and businesses, and lists products that are eligible for the Energy Star.
