Data Sets

The datasets from Appendix B in your textbook are available in several different technology formats.

Note: The following files are compressed for faster download. Download a free version of WinZip to extract the compressed files.
Click on the name of the software that you are using to download the corresponding data sets.

TI-83 Plus/TI-84 Plus Data Application (1 TI-83/TI-84 data application)
  • TI-83/TI-84 Data Application: All of the data sets are included in the BIOSTATS.8xk application file, to be loaded on a TI-83/TI-84 calculator. To do so, you will need a TI-GRAPH LINK™ cable and the free TI-GRAPH LINK™ software or the TI Connect ™ software. Go to the Texas Instruments Web site at http://education.ti.com/us/product/accessory/connectivity/down/download.html for download information.
  • To download the TI-83/TI-84 application to the calculator, double click on the TI-Graph Link icon, select LINK, SEND FLASH SOFTWARE, APPLICATIONS AND CERTIFICATES. Enter the location of the file BIOSTATS.8xk, click on that file name, click on ADD, then OK.
