In the faculty lunchroom, you overhear a colleague saying that he doesn't have time for classroom physical activity because he is too busy trying to improve his students' academic performance. How might you respond?

At a planning meeting, you raise the issue of the increasing number of overweight children in your community and propose that your school implement an after-school physical activity program. Before you've finished speaking, a more senior teacher interrupts you. "We've looked into that before," she says, "but it would cost too much. We just don't have the resources." How might you respond?
